a little strike!

This year, my university the Universidad de Chile, went on a new strike after two years of not being on one. The reason is the same as always, fighting for a free and egalitarian education. But today there is a new government, and the police are so much more agressive than years before.

We are against the new policy of sharing the money of the Universidad de Chile with the other universities, cause they are not public actually they are private and that makes the thing totally different, cause one important thing for us in this university, is the common good, we have a compromise with the soceity and that the other universities do not have, and never going to have, cause they are created with another purpose. But we fight also for other students who are not from our university, we want them to have a better education and for that we ask more funds and this way more people can study here and in return we propose to work in the public service for a couple of years. In this way we will return the benefit that the state gave us.

In my opinion it is very difficult to change this kind of thing, cause the government has the control of all means of communication and they only show the news that are good for their popularity.
Things like the thirty three miners trapped in the mine or this news of Piñera saving "Punta de choro" are the news that they want to show to the people... obviously they dont want to show the most prestigious university in the whole country against them, cause that is going to look bad to the Chilean citizen.
And they have no intation to change this picture, they are very confortable making the people pay millions and millions for their education rather than them having to assume this responsability and do the right thing.

The only solution is revolution!
